High School Ambassador Program

Sophomores and Juniors Wanted!  Win an IPAD!


The dust has settled with back to school activities and we all have settled into our new routines.  WHEW!!!  I know many of you know exactly what I am talking about.  With all the craziness of that behind us it is time for our studio to start looking for ambassadors to work with our studio.  What is an ambassador?  Ambassadors promote our studio!  It is basically that simple.  Here is how it works:

What you get! 

2 Sessions (minimum)  One mini session to make your rep cards and give you files to share on social media.  Full Session the summer or early fall of your Senior Year
1 8x10, 2 5x7's, 8 Wallets Complimentary from both of your sessions
25% off additional print orders
40 rep cards (will provide more as needed)
$25 Cash or $50 in print credits for every referral
*Chance to win an IPAD*

What is expected of the Ambassador

Pass out rep cards 
Promote J and B Photography to friends, family, and social media
Post additional promotions on social media when given the information through out the year
Refer your replacement for the following year into the ambassador program
Signed model release giving J and B Photography permission to use photos for marketing
Must live within 50 miles of  the Omaha/Council Bluffs area

Referrals to J and B Photography that become booked and completed sessions will be tallied and the rep with the most referrals will win an IPAD 2.
Referrals can be for any of the following sessions: Senior, Family, Beautiful You 
The ambassador must have a minimum of 5 referrals to be included in the contest.

School Photos That Rock Event
September 8th 2012   10AM - 7 PM
Friday and Saturday are also available

Just because they take them at school doesn't mean you have to buy them from school.  The schools have contracted photographers that come to their school and take 2 seconds with your child.  They average 30 kids in ten minutes.  How can that possibly ensure you have a good photograph of your child?  We are going to take three poses of your child.  One will be the traditional head shot, one will be a sitting on the ground and will be full body, and the other will be them standing and will be a 3/4 shot.  We will do this in 15 minute sessions.  This gives us the time to ensure that we get a good look and smile.  After we finish the images we will preview them prior to any processing.  Then you will decide if you want just one pose or two, or three. The choice is completely up to you.  Our pricing structure for this event is inline with what you would expect to pay with the school photographer.  We do offer great discounts if you choose to order additional poses.    I also guarantee the quality and service will be better!  If you are not happy with any of your images we will re-shoot them!  We are requesting you contact us either by phone or email to reserve the time you would like to attend.  We don't want our customers to wait in lines or feel like they are being herded in and out of their session.  Check out the event and call us with the times that work best for you.  We look forward to seeing you!

I love Photo Stations.  We provided one for the wedding of Tonya and Steve Beccard.  They and their guest were a lot of fun.  Photo Booths and Photo Stations are very popular for weddings and events.  We provide the props and the photographer (ME).  I also shoot tethered to my laptop so you can preview the images right after they are taken.  We provide a disc to the bride and groom, and the guests can go to our shootproof account and can download low res images for no charge.  We only charge $150 an hour so we can be affordable to everyone.  Photo Booths are much higher priced and you can usually only fit a few people in them.  Our service does not have walls to confine you, so you can fit large groups in the area also.

Introducing "Beautiful You" by J and B Photography

I have been working on this line for quite some time now.  Lots of things had to come together to put it all together.  I found 2 amazing ladies to help me in this venture.  The first is Joy Sakolsky of Via Mia Spa.  She does amazing make up and skin care.  The second is Meghann.  She does a wonderful job styling hair and is an absolute riot.  
Why "Beautiful You"?  I love taking beautiful pictures.  But all of us photographers love to that.  This adventure all started when I was watching some videos and came across some by Sue Bryce.  What an inspiration she is.   The following quote on CreateLive was what struck the cord for me. 
“I don’t want to photograph anybody famous, I want to photograph Sandra from Canada and Amanda from Florida…I want to photograph any woman in the world who’s ever looked in the mirror and not felt good about herself at any time in her life. I want to photograph her every year through the changes of her teenage life, through her 20s, through her 30s, through her 40s, through her 50s, and as she flowers into her most beautiful-ness. I want to photograph her every year of her life to watch and celebrate the changes of who she is and what she is, so she can experience how she looks to other people”.  Sue Bryce 

I am that women.  I think that is why I prefer being behind the camera.  That will change very soon.  I want women to feel fabulous about themselves.  You are Beautiful. You deserve to take a few hours to pamper yourself, relax, and feel like a million dollars.  That is what I want to do.  I want to help women's self esteem one click at a time.  That is how "Beautiful You" was born.  One inspirational women and my crazy desire to help my fellow women.  

Women lead busy lives, and this is also an excuse we use to not pamper ourselves.  There is also a child's game or practice to attend, work, dinner needs to be made, laundry, dishes, etc, etc.   When was the last time you had profession portraits taken of just You?  Senior Year?  Your Wedding day?  You deserve 3 hours!  In those three hours you will be pampered with hair and make-up.  Your only worry during that time should be - What should I have to drink?  After your make over time, I will spend 2-3 hours with you creating fabulous portraits for you.  You are beautiful - I can see it, and I can capture all of your wonderfulness!  So no more excuses!  Call me to book your session.  

Here are a couple of images from my last session.  These women are just like you and me.  One is a mom of 2, is employed full-time, a wife, and is also going to school.  The other fabulous women is a mother of three, a grandmother several times over, employed full time, and just turned 60!  She is an amazing women.  I included a before picture also because I wanted you to see that these are "real" women.

The "Watch Me Grow Club"

     We are launching a new portrait club. This is a special club and is very easy to join.  I will explain that shortly.  We will hold  anywhere from 4-9 events a year.  These events will have cute themes and will may occur in conjunction with holidays.  For example, to kick off the new club we are currently taking reservations for our "Just Like Daddy" event.  What makes this club so special, you ask?   Good question! Here are a few benefits to joining the club."
  • Special Package Pricing - Why is this special?  It enables our club members to get fun portraits of their children several times a year that doesn't break the bank

  • Exclusive Bonus Items - We will offer one special item that you can purchase at the event that will be available at that event.  Example:  For the "Just Like Daddy Event" , the bonus item is a pewter money clip that will contain an image from that session.  Great Fathers Day Gift!

Entry into the Contest is EASY PEASY!
1) Book and complete a mini session with us between May 1 and June 7th
2) Preview your edited images and choose one photo to enter into the contest by June 15th
3)  Tell all your friends and family where to view and vote for your image
4) You must like us on Facebook. This is where I will be putting up the contest images!

One winner from each category will win a full session with no creation fee, and your choice of a photo book or a 2013 Calendar containing your images from your full session.

What are the Categories?

Details:
 1) Mini Sessions are approximately 30 minutes and can be for babies, couples, or family portraits (newborns and babies may require additional time)
2) Sessions can be conducted in our studio or at a location of your choosing
3) The Image you choose will be placed on our Facebook Page.  You will want to send all your family and friends there to vote.  ALL your friends and family aren't on Facebook?!  Don't worry...I will also have them on an online gallery for those that don't have Facebook.
4) NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY FOR THIS CONTEST...You of course may purchase prints or other products from your session if you would like. You will receive a discount on any prints you order prior to June 15th! 
5)  There is no cash value for this contest.  If you are the winner you must redeem your winnings by December 31, 2012.

The Enchanted Forest Fairy Portraits






We just did a Fairy Portrait shoot at the Benson High Boutique this last Saturday.  The little girls were adorable fairies.  These were just a few of faeries that "captured".  We are having a Fairy Day on March 24, 2012 which will be 30 minute sessions.  Call us or email us to reserve your spot.  We have the props and the wings, all you have to do is bring the magic!
